Clinical Health Conditions Loneliness and social isolation can cause immense impact on a person’slife, but physical health should also not be under-estimated. Psychological health conditions may lead to a physical health condition that needs to be cured before it gets worse. A research shows that lonely individuals are at more risk of getting disabled, cognitive decline, obesity and 64% people have chances to develop dementia. (Bathnes.gov.uk, 2019) In figure 1.9, an article depicts the life expectancy and proportion of life spent in good health for adults age 65 and above, for year 2014 to 2016. As life expectancy increase so does the time spent in poor health. (Ons.gov.uk, 2019)

The poor health may contain a number of clinically knows diseases that may or may not be caused by psychological conditions, but there are a number of poor health conditions that are cause by depression and stress. The diagram below states physical and cognitive conditions starts developing as human grows. The figure 1.10 depicts conditions like excessive smoking, obesity and unhealthy diet are developed due to depression that is caused by loneliness and isolation

Costs

 Several time patient visit healthcare centres with a clinically undefinable condition that cost a lot of money as well as time of healthcare organisation. Most of NHS attempt to keep such patients away from hospital by organising home visits and provide other supports like talk therapy and communitybased services. A report from NHS shows that it costs three times more to treat a 75-year-old and five times more to treat an 80-year-old compared to a 30-year-old. A massive rise in the age factor of elderly people by 2050 when there will be double population of elderly people compared to 2019, is another matter of concern for healthcare organisation. Support talks and community-based services are not enough to stop them visiting hospitals and it will not make any difference to cost and time consumed for treatments.
